The Buffalo Bills rocked the New York Jets in dominating fashion, winning by a score of 32 - 6. The Bills recorded six sacks against New York and forced four turnovers. The Bills might have their offense back on track after promoting Joe Brady to interim offensive coordinator. He's certainly made his case so far to be the permanent OC for 2024.
If we look at last week's top ten on our rankings, you'll see that seven of the ten won this week and another on a bye, so only two of the top ten lost, so we don't have a lot of movement. One of those two teams was the Cincinnati Bengals, who have now dropped two straight but worse than that, they've lost their franchise quarterback, Joe Burrow.
As the season has continued, several AFC teams have lost their starting quarterbacks and have to rely on backups to move forward, including the aforementioned Bengals. The list includes the Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, and of course the New York Jets. Add to that list the teams that have benched their starters (which also includes the Jets), the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Tennessee Titans. Then there is the New England Patriots who have benched their starting quarterback at various times during games. That's half the AFC that has had some sort of turnover at the QB position.
At this point, it seems any team that can get to the playoffs with their original quarterback will have a significant advantage. Speaking of quarterbacks, Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers lost again and it's really only a matter of time before the Chargers ownership has had enough and sends coach Brandon Staley packing.
