Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry is no stranger to the Buffalo Bills. When Henry was with the Tennessee Titans, Henry used to face the Bills every single season up until last year. From 2018-2022, the Bills always found themselves having to play the Titans.

Now the Bills will play the Ravens, who signed Derrick Henry in free agency this past offseason. Seeing Henry in a backfield behind Lamar Jackson is very scary. Both players have to be game planned for because of the threats that they are. Jackson is a dynamic playmaker which has helped win two MVP awards in his career.. Henry was the best running back in the league at one point and he is still going strong.

When it comes to facing the Bills, Henry has only had one true great game against them. In 2021, Henry managed to rush for 143 yards off of 20 carries for 3 touchdowns. If you take out that one huge game against the Bills, Henry has only averaged 54 rushing yards per game and would only have four rushing touchdowns, per StatMuse.

Buffalo Bills need to contain Derrick Henry on Sunday Night Football

Last week against the Cowboys, Henry dominated the ground with 151 yards and 2 touchdowns. Heading into this game, Henry has rushed for 281 yards which ranks 5th in the league.

Buffalo managed to keep the Jacksonville Jaguars from rushing over 100 yards against them, but they still managed to rush for 92 yards. The run defense for Buffalo must be strong from start to finish to keep Henry from running wild.

Sunday Night Football is going to truly show what type of team the Bills are. They have been on fire the last two weeks and they will look to continue that momentum in Baltimore. However, if the Ravens are able to establish the run and keep Josh Allen off the field, life is going to be difficult for the Bills.
