The 2023 NFL season is upon us, and the Buffalo Bills are ready to begin the journey to what is hopefully a "Super" season. But are they, or should they be ranked number one in our AFC Power Poll? Maybe but the AFC is loaded with supremely talented rosters, and it will be an exciting season.
The AFC can claim several other teams that have legitimate Super Bowl aspirations, including the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, and New Jersey Jets. You can throw in other teams as well, but I would be naming two-thirds of the conference.
Doing a Week One power poll is difficult given that we haven't really seen any of these teams in action in games that matter but I'm going to take a shot at ranking all 16 AFC teams and each week I'll update it accordingly. I also hope to hear from fans, as I know if I don't rank their team number one, they'll be coming at me. But come at me with valid points, and I have no problem taking those points into consideration for the next poll.
Even looking at the bottom list of the AFC teams isn't easy. I could just say the Houston Texans are dead last but have they improved their roster enough to be better than the Indianapolis Colts or Denver Broncos? Maybe the Las Vegas Raiders are the worst team in the conference? Either way, let's get into it, starting with the bottom four.
