Buffalo Bills: Updated AFC East Standings after Week 5

The start to the second quarter of the NFL season in the AFC East division consists of two winners and two losers. There was a change at the top of the division, as well as a change at the bottom of the division standings.
The Buffalo Bills kicked the Sunday game day off across the pond in London where they took on the Jacksonville Jaguars, which was then followed by the Miami Dolphins hosting the New York Giants. Then it was the New England Patriots hosting the New Orleans Saints, and finally the New York Jets wrapping up Week 5 in the AFC East in the second window of games taking on the Denver Broncos.
Two teams remain above .500, while the other two still remain below, but the Bills find themselves in a tricky situation heading into Week 6.
Here is the updated AFC East standings after Week 5
4.) New England Patriots (1-4) - loss vs. New Orleans Saints, 34-0
The Patriots are in trouble. There is no other way to say it. They have been outscored 72-3 the last two weeks, quarterback Mac Jones has been benched in two consecutive weeks for backup Bailey Zappe, and the defense is down two of their best defenders in Matthew Judon and rookie cornerback Christian Gonzalez.
Throughout their games this season, they have been outscored in the first half and have been forced to play from behind. Another thing to keep in mind, Jones has four pick-sixes in Gillette Stadium, whereas Tom Brady had four of them in his career.
They had 156 total yards on offense and allowed over 300 yards on defense, along with turning the ball over 3 times. At the bottom of the division, the Patriots have more “in the building” questions to answer and may have to decide what they want their future to be which starts with this season. They are closer to having a top five draft pick then they are making the playoffs.
Heading into Week 6, they will travel to take on their former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and the Las Vegas Raiders.
