Buffalo Bills: Top 4 2023 free agents who will outplay their contract

In terms of total contract value, Leonard Floyd received the fourth highest free agent contract from the Buffalo Bills this offseason at $7 million total. However, the edge rushers and defensive ends are a premium position and their contracts are some of the biggest on NFL rosters.

The $7 million salary ranks 19th among outside linebackers this season and is the same as Tennessee Titans' Arden Key. Floyd has had nearly 30 sacks over the past three seasons with the Los Angeles Rams while Key has only 14 career sacks over five seasons.

The addition of Leonard Floyd gives the Buffalo Bills a veteran pass rusher early in the season while Von Miller works his way back from a torn ACL. Once Miller returns, the Bills are going to have plenty of flexibility in their defensive scheme and Floyd should be able to finish the season with close to 10 sacks.

If he is able to do that, this signing will probably end up being the biggest bargain and Leonard Floyd will be the one player who outplays his contract the most on the Buffalo Bills.
