Buffalo Bills: Stealing one player from every AFC East opponent

This is the time of the year when content creators like me like to have fun with off-the-wall, hypotheticals. So, here we are selecting one player from each of the Buffalo Bills' divisional rivals to steal and add to their roster.

Josh Uche - Edge Defender - New England Patriots

This is one that most will probably have to take a second look at to make sure they read the name correctly, then they will look at me and question if I even know anything about football.  That’s ok too, you can question my call and I’m good with that but to help the Bills defensive line, I’m going with the New England Patriots edge defender Josh Uche.

Most were probably expecting Matthew Judon but I went with the younger Uche.  The Bills have aging edge defenders in Von Miller and Leonard Floyd and the Bills need to get younger talent opposite Gregory Rousseau.  The team still has young defenders like A.J. Epenesa and Boogie Basham but the book is still out on Basham.  Epenesa was solid last season but in a passing league with superstar quarterbacks on every corner, you need more than solid and Uche is on his way up.

Uche recorded 12 sacks in 2022, the 11th most in the NFL.  He also added in a total of 56 pressures.  He earned a PFF grade of 83.1, which ranked him 14th among the NFL’s edge defenders.  Yes, Judon recorded 17 sacks last season but he’s also nearly a decade older, so I again went with youth here.  For the record, Judon earned a PFF grade of 73.6.
