5 free agents the Buffalo Bills could sign after DaQuan Jones' injury

Linval Joseph

Around the time the Eagles signed Ndamukong Suh, they also signed defensive tackle Linval Joseph who had played the past two seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers. He is older at 34 years old but has been a starter pretty much everywhere he has played and had eight starts for the Eagles last year, while Suh was more of a backup.

While Suh may bring more headlines, Joseph could actually be a better fit to replace what DaQuan Jones brought to this defense. He is a bigger defensive tackle at 329 pounds and is more of a run-stuffing defensive tackle.

Michael Brockers

The final veteran defensive tackle the Buffalo Bills could consider signing is Michael Brockers, who was a first round pick by the Rams in 2012 and played nine seasons there before being traded to the Detroit Lions prior to 2021 and was released this past offseason after an odd finish in Detroit where he was a healthy scratch most weeks.

The Buffalo Bills also have some connection to Brockers as he played one season alongside Leonard Floyd, who is having an incredible start to the year his first season with Buffalo. The team is unlikely to find a perfect replacement for DaQuan Jones and ultimately are going to need Jordan Phillips or Tim Settle step up, however adding any of these veterans to round out the rotation could be a good answer to addressing the position.
