Buffalo Bills: Rasul Douglas among inactives for Wild Card game
After the game was postponed one day due to the weather, the Buffalo Bills are set to start their playoffs with a home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers this afternoon. The Bills were able to get a home game after their win in the final week of the regular season over the Miami Dolphins that locked up their fourth straight AFC East crown.
The Bills though are still feeling some of the effects from that game that will be notable in this game. Starting wide receiver Gabe Davis suffered a knee injury against the Dolphins and he was ruled out on Friday for this game. He hasn't always made an impact on the box score but he was playing upwards of 90% of the offensive snaps and the coaching staff will need to replace that production.
It would make sense for the Bills to have Trent Sherfield be the primary player to replace Davis but they could get Andy Isabella on the field. The Bills elevated him from the practice squad on Sunday.
In addition to Davis, the Buffalo Bills also ruled out Taylor Rapp for this game and will have Damar Hamlin active today against the Steelers.
The Bills had two other players who were questionable for this game in cornerback Rasul Douglas and linebacker Tyrel Dodson. Both have been starters down the stretch and unfortunately both are inactive for today's game.
The Bills will have A.J. Klein active for this game but Baylon Spector should get the start in place of Dodson. Meanwhile, Kaiir Elam is active for today's game but Dane Jackson should be the starter opposite Christian Benford.
