The Buffalo Bills boast one of the league's top quarterbacks in Josh Allen, but this team is going to be tested in a big way during the 2023 campaign.
Allen is going to have to be every bit of an MVP contender this year, because Buffalo's schedule looks daunting in terms of quarterback play. The schedule makers weren't kind to the Bills, this year, as the team is set to play against arguably the top five quarterbacks in football, all in one regular season.
You could argue Allen as part of this conversation, too, in being a top-5 passer. But, let's take a look at the five toughest quarterbacks Buffalo is going to face this year, starting out west.
Ranking the best quarterbacks on the Buffalo Bills 2023 schedule: No. 5, Justin Herbert
When Justin Herbert is the fifth-best quarterback on your schedule, chances are, you're in for one heck of a battle this season. The Bills have some incredible tests ahead of them on the schedule, and Herbert is just the tip of the iceberg.
The Bills take on Herbert in Week 16 in Los Angeles, where there could be some major playoff implications on the line. Fun fact about Herbert and the rest of the quarterbacks on this list: the Bills play every single one of them on the road. The NFL truly did zero favors for Buffalo on this year's schedule.
Herbert has only faced the Bills once in his career, back in his rookie campaign in 2020, where he threw for 316 yards, one touchdown and one pick in a loss to Josh Allen and company. This year, Herbert will be gunning for an extension, so the stakes are higher. It should be a fun matchup.
