James Cook
The player who should benefit the most from Devin Singletary's departure is going to be James Cook. The Bills drafted Cook in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft and as the season went along he saw his workload increase.
In his rookie season, Cook had 89 rushing attempts, 507 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns along with 21 receptions on 32 targets for 180 receiving yards and one touchdown. However, as the featured running back, those totals should significantly increase.
This season, James Cook should be on the field for about 60% or more of the offensive snaps. He is a versatile player that can certainly carry the ball but he is best utilized as a receiver. It shouldn't be unrealistic to expect him to be close to 85 targets this season and catch close to 70% of those.
His skillset fits perfectly for a pass-heavy offense like the Buffalo Bills and he could even make his first Pro Bowl with the increased workload.
