Trent Sherfield

While the Buffalo Bills will also likely have rookie Justin Shorter on the roster, he probably doesn't see any consistent playing time unless there is an injury to one of the starters. The only other wide receiver who could be a factor is Trent Sherfield, who the Bills signed as a free agent this offseason.

Sherfield will likely be competing with Khalil Shakir for the starting slot receiver position and if he wins the job over Shakir, then the stats predicted for Shakir could be applied for Sherfield. I don't believe that will happen and Sherfield probably holds a reserve/backup role this season.

He should be active most game days and that will give him a chance to get on the field for 5-10 snaps a game. The question will be how many times he is targeted when on the field. It will be sporactic but he should have chances over the course of the season to make plays.

2023 stat predictions for Trent Sherfield: 30 receptions, 40 targets, 290 receiving yards, two receiving touchdowns
