Mitch Morse won't be on the Buffalo Bills roster in 2024

This offseason, there was definitely the possibility of the Bills cutting ties with veteran center Mitch Morse. If it came down to it, and the Bills found a higher draft pick to replace him, they could have saved $3 million by cutting the veteran. But, keeping him around was the better option, at least for now.

If the Bills were to cut Morse after this season, they will end up saving a significant amount of money against the cap; $8 million to be exact. For a team like Buffalo who will continue to be up against the cap, because of their top-heavy contracts, that $8 million would prove to be highly valuable. Next year, center could be one of the focal positions for the Bills in the draft, as they let Morse go.

Ed Oliver won't be on the Buffalo Bills roster in 2024

This is probably the most shocking name to be on the list, but Ed Oliver is anything but safe. Even after signing his new deal, Oliver isn't safe for all four of those years. That new contract was more of a bet on himself than anything, and it allows the Bills to get out after two seasons with minimal dead money, all things considered.

Now, here is another possibility for the Bills, and more of a bold prediction as to why he isn't on the roster in 2024. Again, they are a team that is going to need every penny going forward. If Oliver has his best sesaon yet in 2023, Buffalo could opt to try and trade him while his value is sky high, thus getting out of that future money.
