Buffalo Bills Rumors: Taylor Rapp appears to be replacement for Jordan Poyer with three-year deal

The Buffalo Bills made it clear that they are turning the page on the safety position after releasing Jordan Poyer on Wednesday. While it isn't guaranteed, it also appears that Micah Hyde will not be brought back and it will be a fresh start at the position in 2024.

However, it seems the Buffalo Bills already have one of the replacements set after reportedly agreeing to a three-year contract extension worth up to $14.5 million with Taylor Rapp according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Rapp was a former second round pick by the Rams in the 2019 NFL Draft and played four seasons with Los Angeles before signing with Buffalo last season as a free agent. He would have four starts, appear in 16 games, and finished the season with 50 tackles, one interception and two passes defended.

The fact that it is a three-year contract seems to indicate that the Buffalo Bills view Taylor Rapp as a starter and not necessarily just a depth signing like last season.
