Buffalo Bills News: David Edwards signs two-year contract with Bills
One of the first reported moves of the day was the Buffalo Bills re-signing David Edwards to a two-year contract. At the time, the move made sense as Edwards was an experienced backup and found a role towards the end of last season as that extra offensive lineman on run plays.
However, as the day went along it became apparent that Edwards is in line for having a much bigger role after the team released Mitch Morse. Shortly after that announcement, it was reported that Connor McGovern would be replacing Morse as center.
This means that Edwards is now the most likely option to step in as starting left guard. The Buffalo Bills may not be done and could bring in more competition but as of now David Edwards should have a bigger role in 2024.
