Buffalo Bills Rumors: Julian Blackmon heading to Western New York for free agent visit

The Buffalo Bills may be looking to add another piece to that secondary this week as they reportedly will be bringing in Julian Blackmon for a free agent visit. According to Jordan Schultz with Bleacher Report, the free agent safety has a number of teams after him but he will be making a stop in Western New York.

Blackmon was a third round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2020 NFL Draft and has started 46 games over the four seasons. This past year was his most productive with 88 total tackles, five tackles for a loss, four interceptions, two fumble recoveries and eight passes defended.

The Bills already have re-signed Taylor Rapp to a three-year deal so they will be looking for a safety to play alongside him. Blackmon is an intriguing option as he was primarily a cornerback in college before moving to safety during his final season at Utah.

At only 25 years old, he has continued to develop into the role at safety and is a player that hasn't reached his full potential. This would be a great signing for the Bills and give them a long-term solution at the position.
