The Buffalo Bills are continuing to check things off that they need to address this offseason as they announced two signings on Tuesday. However, they are not done as they will be bringing another free agent safety in this week.

These are some of the news and rumors for the Bills from Tuesday.

Buffalo Bills News: Ty Johnson returning is good news for the offense

Ty Johnson was signed shortly before the 2023 season and spent the first half of the year on the practice squad. However, he was activated in October and as the season went along he saw his role expand, especially after Joe Brady took over as offensive coordinator. He will now be returning to Buffalo and potentially have an even more prominent spot in this offense.

From Week 12 through the end of the season, Johnson had five or more carries in six of the seven games he was active. He would end up playing at least 15% of the snaps in six of the seven games as well.

Johnson ran well with the limited carries he had and could be a good complement to James Cook this season. He ended the season basically as the number two back and with Johnson back the Bills may turn their focus to a bigger running back for short-yardage situations to complete the backfield.
