Which wide receiver in Buffalo Bills history has the most receiving yards in a single game?

The Buffalo Bills have had some excellent wide receivers in their franchise history from Hall of Famers like Andre Reed to Stefon Diggs, who looks like he is on a trajectory to reaching the Hall of Fame after his career.

One player that was productive but didn't reach the same level as Andre Reed or Stefon Diggs was Lee Evans. The Bills drafted Evans in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft and the hope was that Evans alongside quarterback J.P. Losman, who was drafted later in the first round that year, could form the dynamic duo similar to Jim Kelly and Andre Reed.

These two players had flashes of being special, like in 2006 against the Houston Texans, in a game the Bills would win in the final seconds after J.P. Losman found Peerless Price for the go-ahead touchdown.

However, they wouldn't have gotten to that point if it wasn't for Lee Evans record setting performance. In that game, he would have 265 receiving yards which still stands as the record for most receiving yards in a game in Buffalo Bills history. He would break the record set by Jerry Butler in 1979 when he had 255 receiving yards.

Lee Evans would finish with 11 receptions but most of those yards occurred on two catches, as he had two touchdowns that were for 83 yards each.

That 2006 season was Lee Evans' best of his career as he had 82 receptions, 1,292 receiving yards, and eight receiving touchdowns. He would have one other season with over 1,000 receiving yards but would not have more than 63 receptions in any season.

He would play seven total seasons with the Bills before playing one season with the Baltimore Ravens in his final season in the NFL in 2011.
