The Buffalo Bills have been running away from the Dallas Cowboys in the first half and a majority of that has been by James Cook, who had 100 rushing yards in the first half. However, Josh Allen has been the player who has been getting to the end zone and set an NFL record as the first player with 10 or more games that included one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown.

In the game today against the Cowboys, Allen would throw a touchdown pass to James Cook that gave the Bills a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter. He would then score on a quarterback sneak inside of the two minute warning to set the record.

While plenty has been made about his interception streak of nine straight games with a pick, he has been quietly putting together a streak of three straight games with at least one rushing touchdown and one passing touchdown. He also has reached that mark in seven of the past eight games.

NFL record isn't a surprise for Josh Allen but is surprising he didn't do it earlier

Since Josh Allen entered the NFL, he has always been a threat on the ground and been one of the toughest quarterbacks to game plan for. He has incredible mobility for a quarterback of his size and has been tough to stop near the goal line.

In the six seasons in the NFL, Allen has had at least six rushing touchdowns each season but has never had double digit rushing touchdowns. He has been close a few times with nine rushing touchdowns in 2019 and eight in 2018 and 2021.

This season, Josh Allen already has 11 rushing touchdowns with the second half left against the Dallas Cowboys and three more games after this week in the 2023 season.
