After serious concerns about what the conditions would be for the game between the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers, it did not affect the performance of Josh Allen in this game as he looked great all around for the Bills.

Through the air, Allen finished 21/30 for 203 yards and 3 touchdowns, to Dawson Knox, Dalton Kincaid, and Khalil Shakir. On the ground, he added on 74 yards off of 8 carries which included a 52 yard touchdown run in the second quarter. That play sparked a 21-0 lead over the Steelers in the first half.

Allen continued his dominant play from last week against the Dolphins. With no surprise, he connected the most with wideout Stefon Diggs and tight end Dalton Kincaid (a combined 10 catches for 111 yards and a touchdown). In addition, Allen did not turn the ball over which kept the Steelers from gaining momentum throughout the game.

When the Steelers came within a touchdown from tying the ball game in the fourth quarter, the Bills’ offense took advantage of taking the ball down the field, wasting clock and eventually getting into the end zone with Shakir.

With this win, the Bills advance to the divisional round where they will host a very familiar opponent, the Kansas City Chiefs led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs have eliminated the Bills from the playoffs in two of the last three postseasons (both of those games taking place in Kansas City. For the first time in his career, Mahomes will be on the road and what could be better than his first road playoff game is against the team that is desperate to dethrone them from the playoffs?

Allen has the opportunity to prove the doubters wrong and prove that he can take the throne away from Mahomes in the postseason. He will look towards Sunday night for a 6:30 electric showdown in Orchard Park.
