R5:162 - Drake Nugent - Center, Michigan

This almost seems like a no brno-brainerainer now that Mitch Morse was released. Connor McGovern will step in as the starting center, but the Buffalo Bills will want to add some depth and may need a backup to McGovern. Nugent may not be someone who becomes a starter down the road, as his lack of size and length for the position is a concern, but the Bills need depth, and Nugent could be that guy.

He performed well at the NFL Combine, scoring athleticism score of 79, ninth among all centers at the combine. He isn't projected with a very high ceiling but he's an athletic center that with the right coaching and development should become an excellent backup. Plus, you never know, scouting reports aren't always spot on, and miss more often than not. Any starting offensive lineman from Michigan will have some talent. The Wolverines front wall was one of the best in the nation and Nugent was a big part of that.
