As the Buffalo Bills prepare for their matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, they will no longer need to prepare for running back Isiah Pacheco. The young back was ruled out due to a shoulder injury that he has been dealing with since the offseason and now he will sit out this week which gives the Bills' defense an advantage.

Pacheco has rushed for 779 yards and 6 touchdowns this season and is a proven downhill that can by physical in between the tackles. He also has added over 200 yards through the air and a touchdown. Outside of Pacheco, the running game for the Chiefs is not great. They have Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerrick McKinnon who have a combined 170 rushing yards and one touchdown. That is not promising for the Chiefs' defense heading into this game. However, the Bills should be excited for this matchup.

Two weeks against the Eagles, the Bills gave up 185 rushing yards with a majority of it in the second half that eventually cost them the game in overtime. They also gave up 122 rushing yards to the Denver Broncos two weeks prior to the Eagles' game.

Buffalo will now not have to worry as much about the running game with the absence of Pacheco. While a team should never underestimate a player like McKinnon or Edwards-Helaire, Kansas City doesn't serve as a threat in the running game. It actually would not be surprising if we saw Mahomes leading the way in the running game off of quarterback scrambles.

The Bills will also benefit from making Mahomes win in the air with limited receiving options outside of Travis Kelce. Now they can turn their attention to Kelce and maybe Rashee Rice, but they no longer have to worry about how to stop Pacheco on the ground.
