Buffalo Bills' AFC East rival QB has a laughable quote for the NFL
By Brandon Ray
It seems like whenever certain high-profile NFL players speak what is on their minds, it is remembered for quite some time within the media. When it comes to the Buffalo Bills and their players, they usually keep a lot of their stuff in the building despite some issues that have come up in recent memory. Their biggest well-known drama was surrounding wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who is now out of the building with Buffalo trading Diggs away to the Houston Texans.
Within the AFC East, there is one team that has been all talk but no action for the last couple of years. That’s right, the New York Jets are once again in the news because of their quarterback Aaron Rodgers expressing his opinions on the Jets having six primetime games in 2024. Rodgers said that the Jets are a team that is "must watch" heading into next season.
The Jets have a brutal schedule in the first half of the season and now we are treated to seeing the Jets in a lot of primetime games. Sure, Rodgers is a generational quarterback on the field but he also is someone who loves to talk to get the attention, and him saying that he and the Jets are “must-watch” is completely laughable.
In the last eight seasons, the Jets have finished in last place in the AFC East despite having talented players, specifically on defense. There is no doubt that they can play great defense, but they have yet to deliver a promising season. Last year was supposed to be the year when they traded for Rodgers, only for that dream to be ripped away once Rodgers went down with an Achilles injury four plays into the season.
Rodgers is a 40-year-old quarterback coming off a serious injury that will limit his out-of-the-pocket play that he once had. Even though New York is the biggest market in sports and will always be talked about, there is no reason why NFL fans should be excited for the Jets this season. It seems like something always happens where they catch a spark of bad luck and it ends with yet another disappointment of a season.
