That was not quite how we expected Week 1 to go for the Buffalo Bills. It was a prime time, Monday Night Football showdown between Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers that should have been an exciting, hard-fought battle featuring, what we thought, a few more points despite some good defensive play.

What we ended up seeing was Rodgers being carted off the field after just a couple of plays, and ultimately replaced by Zach Wilson for the remainder of the night. Easy victory for the Bills, right?

Wrong. The Bills gave up a late touchdown to tie the game and New York ended up returning a punt for a touchdown in overtime to win the game. Allen had a rough outing. Rodgers wasn't out there.

With that in mind, how do our AFC East quarterback rankings look now that Week 1 is over with? Let's check in.

4. Zach Wilson, Jets

Aaron Rodgers attempted one pass, took a sack and was carted off the field with an ankle injury. So, for the sake of this week's rankings, we'll start with Zach Wilson, who took over after the injury. Wilson may have gotten the win, but he still finished with a QBR of 22.6.

Wilson's night ended going 14-of-21 for 140 yards, one touchdown and one interception. The touchdown was thanks to a miraculous grab by Garrett Wilson. Otherwise, it was the same old Wilson for the Jets.

Let's just say this: if Rodgers is out for an extended period of time, the Jets' Super Bowl aspirations will be crushed in a hurry. Wilson still doesn't look like a capable NFL starting quarterback, and with him under center, New York is simply a mediocre team, even though that defense is going to be a top unit once more.
