2.) Run game was a non-factor

In the offseason, the Bills managed to put together a running back committee that has James Cook, Damien Harris, and Latavius Murray to help the offense with the run game. It also is supposed to help keep Josh Allen out of the run plays and not take the big shots like he has in previous seasons. Going up against this Jets defense that was the fourth overall ranked defense, the rushing attack by the Bills was a non-factor in this game.

The Bills rushed for 97 yards total and their leading rusher was James Cook who had 12 carries for 46 yards. The longest run for the Bills was 14 yards. Not having a running attack limits an offense and it will force the passing game to try and win with the pressure on them.

Ken Dorsey and the offensive coaching staff will have to find a way to get the run game established because the lack of the run attack showed that this offense cannot go far without it.
