Outside of a potential addition of DeAndre Hopkins, the Buffalo Bills are pretty much done with their offseason moves. General manager Brandon Beane has been busy over the past few months from adding players both in free agency as well as drafting six new players in the 2023 NFL Draft.
However, not all positions are going to be better just because of players added this season. The Buffalo Bills are expected to get players back from injuries whose absence was notable last season.
These are the five positions that are the most improved entering 2023 compared to last season.
5 positions on the Buffalo Bills that improved the most heading into 2023
Safety
The first position is a perfect example of one that isn't going to look much different but is significantly improved compared to last season. The Buffalo Bills have had one of the best safety duos in the league with Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer since the 2017 season.
It seemed that the Bills had seen the end of that duo after Micah Hyde suffered a neck injury in Week 2 last season. Meanwhile, Jordan Poyer dealt with a number of injuries over the course of the season and never seemed like he was fully healthy at any point in the season.
With Jordan Poyer set to be a free agent, the Bills looked like they would have to find at least one new starter but they fortunately were able to reach a new two-year deal that brought back the former All-Pro safety. With Hyde also now recovered from his neck injury, the Bills should once again have one of the best starting safety duos.
However, it isn't just the starters as the Bills would bring in free agent Taylor Rapp as well as potentially getting Damar Hamlin back. These two are excellent depth players that could step in as starters if the need were to arise.
