Carolina Panthers
Staying in the NFC South, the Carolina Panthers are another team that could be looking for help at defensive end. They have had one of the best in the league the past few seasons in Brian Burns but he is set to be a free agent and could end up with the biggest free agent contract given out this offseason.
If the Panthers want to begin overhauling the position, A.J. Epenesa makes sense as one of the pieces to add to the position. He can't be the only player, or expected to replace Burns, but is a very good second option and would benefit from the play of Derrick Brown.
While Epenesa doesn't have any connections to any of the coaches on the coaching staff, Panthers' general manager Dan Morgan was Director of Player Personnel with the Bills when they drafted him in 2020. There is some familiarity with the player that could make sense for the Panthers trying to add him to their defense.
