Kingsley Jonathan

The Buffalo Bills have plenty of questions at defensive end with none bigger than what they do with Von Miller. The team's top pass rusher is still on the PUP list and the Bills could keep him on the PUP list to begin the season.

The reason to do this is that he won't count against the 53-man roster but will be required to sit out the first four games. Another option would be to add him to the active roster but he might not be ready for Week 1 after missing the entire training camp and preseason.

If Von Miller begins the year on the PUP list, this would create a roster spot for someone like Kingsley Jonathan. He was with the team last preseason but was released in the final cuts but returned to the practice squad towards the end of the season and was signed to a reserve/future contract after the season.

Kingsley Jonathan has looked great this preseason and certainly has played well enough to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. However, after Miller the Bills have two players that are locks (Greg Rousseau, Leonard Floyd) and three whose future is a bit uncertain (A.J. Epenesa, Boogie Basham, and Shaq Lawson).

If the Bills were to trade A.J. Epenesa and Boogie Basham, then it would certainly help Kingsley Jonathan's chances to make the 53-man roster.
