While the Buffalo Bills didn't have their entire roster and there were a number of players missing from OTAs, the one player who was absent that was talked about the most was Stefon Diggs. This shouldn't be a concern at this point considering he is a veteran player that knows this offense and already has an excellent connection on the field with Josh Allen.

The absence of Diggs could almost be viewed as a positive as it gives other players further down the depth chart more opportunities with Josh Allen, like Justin Shorter. Another wide receiver that made the most of the extra reps was Trent Sherfield.

The Bills signed Sherfield as a free agent this offseason and after practice on Tuesday, Josh Allen complemented the work Sherfield has done to this point.

For the beginning of his career, Sherfield has primarily been a special teams contributor with the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, and Miami Dolphins. However, this past season he had more opportunity to play offense and finished with a career high 30 receptions, 417 receiving yards, and two touchdowns.

He is unlikely to see significant snaps in this offense however if the Buffalo Bills are forced to deal with an injury to a starter, Sherfield could step in and make an impact.
