Reason No. 3: The Buffalo Bills offense around him will be better

General Manager Brandon Beane, took a different approach to improving his Buffalo Bills team this off-season. In years prior, the defense was the top priority, but this year it was clearly the offense.

The improved offense will only help Gabe Davis have a bigger year this season. A more underrated aspect of the improvement of the team was rounding out the receiver depth chart. With guys like Isaiah McKenzie, who disappointed enough to get cut this off-season, and Jake Kumerow out, the depth chart offers much more upside.

Deonte Harty is a speedster who is oozing with potential. Trent Sherfield was an underrated player on the Dolphins who also has really nice speed and provides more than just a special team's presence as the wide receiver six. It frees up more creativity for the Bills offense, which will help Davis get more opportunities.

Second year man Khalil Shakir is expected to have a bigger role and is a player that seems ready to be a big-time contributor. The Bills just drafted tight end Dalton Kincaid in the first round of the NFL Draft, and it looks like he's going to be a big piece and a true threat for the Bills' offense. This will all take pressure off of Davis who was the victim of being keyed off on last season, by opposing defenses.

The Bills' offensive line also seems set to be a vastly improved unit. It will be the best offensive line Josh Allen has played behind thus far in his career. A clean Josh Allen means more gunslinging action and more targets to go around.

Based on their off-season moves, it's clear the Bills are going to continue being a very pass-heavy team, if not more than they have already been. All of the pieces for a monster Gabe Davis season are in place. Do not be surprised if that breakout we all expected from Davis last year, happens this season.
