1.) He is part of a true running back committee

For the first time since Allen was drafted in Buffalo, the Bills will have a set running back committee that features experience, versatility, and size.

With the Nyheim Hines season-ending injury, the Bills running backs that are more than likely set for the season are Cook, Harris and journeyman Latavius Murray. Cook is seen as the pass-catching back with a high ceiling at the start of his career.

Harris provides the veteran presence but is still young enough to take the lead in the red zone and fight for the extra yardage. Murray is a big body that has the same ability as Harris but can be used as potential insurance in case an injury occurs.

In today’s NFL game, running back committees are trending up rather than having a star running back carrying the run-game on their backs. Even though fans know the presence that backs like Derrick Henry, Nick Chubb, and Saquon Barkley bring to the game, committees allow teams to rotate and keep everyone fresh which then sets them for success.
