Buffalo Bills: 3 reasons why Damien Harris will have success in 2023

One of the best ways to improve your team, while weakening a division opponent’s team is to acquire a player from them. That is what the Buffalo Bills did to the New England Patriots this offseason by signing running back Damien Harris to a very cheap, one-year contract worth $1.7 million. Harris was previously with the Patriots the last four seasons where he ran for 2,094 yards and 20 touchdowns.
In four games against the Bills in his career with the Patriots, Harris carried the ball 57 times and rushed for 364 yards and five touchdowns. In the Bills versus Patriots Monday night football game in 2021, Harris ripped off a 64 yard touchdown that was ultimately the game changer in the game that helped the Patriots beat the Bills 14-10, on a night where Mac Jones only threw three passes. With Harris now on the Buffalo side of the football going into this season, he should be able to keep producing which includes competing against his old team twice this season.
Even though Bills’ second-year back James Cook is in line to be the main go-to guy in the run game, Harris still enters a great situation to have success in this offense.
