On Tuesday morning, the Buffalo Bills start mandatory minicamps at the team's facilities in Orchard Park, NY. Assuming that every player is present, including wide receiver Stefon Diggs, there is a number of interesting position battles to watch throughout the week.

Despite having one of the more talented rosters in the National Football League, not everybody is safe at their position after last seasons team struggled to meet its Super Bowl expectations.

With that being said, here are the three most important position battles at mandatory minicamp.

Buffalo Bills Position Battle: Spencer Brown vs. Brandon Shell

After struggling through most of last season, Buffalo Bills right tackle Spencer Brown was a potential candidate to be replaced this offseason — but it appears the team has confidence in the former third-round pick.

Despite having shown faith in Brown, the Bills signed former Miami Dolphins right tackle Brandon Shell to a one-year contract. While Brown's starting position is likely secured, Shell is a veteran offensive lineman that can push Brown to improve his play — or else Shell could take his place.

At 6'8", 311 pounds, Brown has the potential to overpower opposing defensive linemen, but Shell brings valuable experience after having started 72 games over the past seven seasons. If Brown is unable to show signs of improvement at the Bills' mandatory minicamp, and the rest of the summer, he could find himself watching from the sideline.

Any more plays like this one from the 2021 playoffs and that will certainly be the case.
