All eyes were on the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets as the two teams closed out Week 1 of the 2023 season. The narrative entering this game was one that included two teams that had Super Bowl aspirations and had talented rosters.

However, that quickly changed with Aaron Rodgers leaving the game after only four plays and being replaced by Zach Wilson. The game seemed set up for the Buffalo Bills to get an early division win but that didn't happen. They would see the Jets score 13 straight points in the second half and finally lose in overtime on a punt return by the Jets.

The Buffalo Bills have plenty to work on heading into Week 2 if these grades are any indication.

Quarterback

This was arguably one of the worst starts of Josh Allen's career. He would finish the game completing 29 of 41 passes for 236 yards with one touchdown but had four total turnovers (3 interceptions, one fumble).

A majority of those turnovers occurred in the second half as the Bills' drives on offense ended with an interception, punt, interception, and a fumble. Allen was able to bounce back and lead the offense down the field for a game-tying field goal but that one drive was not able to save a disastrous performance.
