John Fina - Tackle - Honorable Mention

John Fina was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 1992 NFL Draft.  He was selected in the first round, 27th overall.  He didn’t start his rookie year but he still played in all 16 games.  He even caught a touchdown pass on his one target that season, for one yard.

Fina played with the Bills for ten years, from 1992 to 2001.  He played in 148 games, starting in 131; however, he was never voted to a Pro Bowl roster but is still considered one of the best offensive tackles in Buffalo Bills’ history, and rightfully so.

Fina played only seven games outside of Buffalo, giving him 155 career games played.  He signed with the Arizona Cardinals in 2002 and retired at the end of that season.  He too was part of those great Bills’ offenses, when he took over as a starting tackle in 1993.

Fina played for the Arizona Wildcats in college.  In his junior year, he played on both offense and defense, winning the team’s Bronco Nagurski award for the top two-way player.  He was also selected to three All-Pac-10 Academic teams from 1989 to 1991.  Fina is a member of the Arizona Wildcats Hall of Fame.
