Reggie McKenzie - Honorable Mention

Reggie McKenzie was selected with the 27th overall pick by the Buffalo Bills in the first round of the 1972 NFL Draft.  He played with the Bills from 1972 until 1982.  He continued his NFL career for two more seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and retired from the game after the 1984 season.

Amazingly, he was never voted to a Pro Bowl roster, yet was voted to three All-Pro teams, including a first-teamer in 1973.  While many may question his appearance on this list, it shows that Bills Mafia respects his game and considers him one of the best offensive linemen in Bills’ history.

McKenzie played 147 games with the Bills, starting every single one and setting a team record for most consecutive starts with 134.  He, like DeLamielleure, was a huge part of the famed “Electric Company”.

Reggie was selected as a two-time All-Big Ten player, played on two Michigan Rose Bowl teams, and voted to several All-American teams throughout his college career with the Michigan Wolverines.

McKenzie may not be in the NFL Hall of Fame, but he has been voted to just about every other hall of fame in the sport, including the College Football Hall of Fame in 2002, the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 1994, and was inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame in 2016 as well.
