Breaking down the all-time Buffalo Bills cornerbacks as voted by Bills Mafia

When I dove into this position group, I quickly realized that cornerbacks in Bills' history just might be the deepest position of any. This group is loaded with outstanding corners from the inception of the team in 1960 until even now.

Those 1960s teams featured one of the AFL's best corners in Booker Edgerson, who recorded 23 career interceptions, tied with another Bills' great, Nate Clements, for seventh on the all-time interceptions list. Booker played eight seasons with the Bills, including both AFL championship seasons.

Those AFL title teams also included the Bills' all-time interceptions leader, corner Butch Byrd. He recorded 40 career interceptions, a record that still stands today, more than 50 years after his playing days came to an end with Buffalo in 1970. Byrd was a five-time Pro Bowl player and was voted to three first-team and one second-team All-Pro.

The Bills teams from the 1970s included three corners who are in the top six career interception leaders in Mario Clark, Charles Rome, and Tony Greene. Greene sits in second overall with 37 picks. Despite the poor seasons of the Bills during the 70s, cornerback play was not the issue.

The position dried up a bit in the early 80s but the team would add more great corner talent in the late 80s with the addition of Nate Odomes. The 2000s also saw some great corners with Nate Clements, Antoine Winfield, Terrance McGee, and later Stephon Gilmore.
