Brandon Beane's recent comments about 2023 season outlook should worry Buffalo Bills fans

Following the 2023 NFL Draft, it's now time to buckle down and get to work. The Buffalo Bills are a team that should be in line to win a Super Bowl right now, and general manager Brandon Beane has been acting in such a manner with the way he's made his moves.

Even right after the draft concluded, we saw Beane and the Bills go out and sign veteran running back Latavius Murray along with defensive tackle Poona Ford, just to continue shoring up this roster and giving it as much depth as possible.

However, despite Beane making moves as though the Bills are ready to win a Super Bowl right now, he's not convinced this coming year is a make-or-break season for the organization.

Appearing on-air with Jim Rome recently, Beane was asked if this season was indeed a make-or-break campaign. Beane responded to Rome's question in a way that Bills fans might not be thrilled about.

"You know, I don't think it is," Beane told Rome. "Listen, there are some moves we could do to just say, 'Hey, we're just going to go all-in for this year and have a teardown.' But, we've been very diligent with in how we've done the cap, and we're trying to avoid that type of situation.

"It's not easy, especially when you get a top-paid quarterback, receiver, you know, Von [Miller] and Tre White, and some of these guys. But, ultimately, we think we've got a plan to continue to go for it year after year, and hopefully we can find a way to pull that title home for Buffalo sooner rather than later."

For an organization and fan base that has never won a Super Bowl, Beane began that response in a worrisome way. If he wanted to inspire faith and motivation within his team, the city and fan base as a whole, he could have responded with an, "Absolutely, and here's why..."

Listen, this is a team that's been so close for a few years. Josh Allen is in the thick of his prime. They have an All Pro caliber wide receiver who is less-than-thrilled with the way he's gotten the football in recent games. The team is pretty set to win now, but if one more season goes by without at least getting to the big game, then patience won't be just wearing thin, it will virtually have run out.
