Despite the Buffalo Bills getting off to a fantastic 2-0 start, they have had adversity hit them early on in training camp and even preseason with injuries. The biggest loss that they suffered throughout training camp was Matt Milano, who will go yet a second season missing a majority if not all of it.

Then in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins, star linebacker Terrel Bernard suffered a pec injury in which he will miss multiple games. However, Bernard still has yet to be placed on the IR. suffered a pec injury in which he will miss multiple games. However, Bernard still has yet to be placed on the IR.

Losing both Milano and Bernard for sometime hurts Buffalo’s defense. While Sean McDermott likes to have the “next man up” mentality, it can only go for so long. The Bills have seen Dorian Williams step into a starting role with Milano’s injury, and now it was Baylon Spector stepping in for the injured Bernard.

The good news is that Spector stepped in and was able to help contain the Miami offense. He was tied with Damar Hamlin and Dorian Williams with 10 total tackles. However, Bills fans will more than likely be seeing more of Spector and Williams help lead the defense while Bernard is out.

With multiple injuries to the linebacker position, the Bills could potentially call in the hometown fan-favorite that turned heads throughout the preseason.

The Buffalo Bills could call Joe Andreessen’s number in Week 3

Throughout training camp and preseason, the Lancaster native showed off some impressive work ethic that caught the attention of his teammates and coaches. His breakout game took place in Week 2 of the preseason against the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he led the team with 12 total tackles. He looked like an NFL veteran against Pittsburgh’s starters.

With the injuries that Buffalo is currently dealing with on defense, getting Andreessen dressed is not the worst idea in the world. He has been inactive the last two weeks, but the Bills might just be in a situation where they have him making his regular season debut under the lights on Monday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
