this past week has been nothing short of chaotic, not only for the Bills but myself too. That's not important though, but what is important is the massive trade that went down shipping Stefon Diggs out of town, finally kicking him to the curb, but more news has come out regarding the contract. The Bills didn't let all this noise stop them from continuing to make moves in free agency as well, and of course, the 2024 NFL Draft is just around the corner.

Texans make Stefon Diggs a one-year rental

When the trade first went down, it was assumed the Texans would just take on the full contract. They had other ideas though, dropping the final three years of the deal, making it a one-year contract. The Texans moved Diggs' guaranteed money from 2025 to 2024, which according to some reports makes this a one-year deal worth more than $22.5 million. Diggs will become a free agent after this coming season, and it will be interesting to see how the season goes. The Texans are loaded in their receiver room at the moment with Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and Robert Woods.

The Buffalo Bills signed offensive lineman La'el Collins

The Bills continue to be active in free agency signing former Bengals offensive lineman La'el Collings to a free agent deal. It's a one-year contract; however, the details of the deal have not yet been announced. Collins can play tackle or potentially move inside to guard. This is a good signing for the Bills, giving them solid depth, and he could push someone for a starting role. I wouldn't be surprised if they move him inside and he challenges David Edwards.

Recent mock draft suggest Bills select Oregon center Jackson Powers-Johnson

Every media outlet, including this one, puts out tons of mock drafts. The latest coming from Pro Football Focus, who had the Bills taking Oregon center Jackson Powers-Johnson with the 28th pick of the draft. This is possible, but I still think unlikely. With the recent trade of Stefon Diggs, I would be a little surprised if the Bills don't go with a receiver in the first round. However, Bills GM Brandon Beane has already said they won't take a receiver for the sake of taking a receiver. They will stick to their draft board and if their top guy is available at 28, they will take him regardless of position. Still, I'm in favor of building a dominant offensive line and Powers-Johnson would be an outstanding addition.
