It was a rough start for Tua Tagovailoa’s career when he was drafted to the Miami Dolphins in 2020. He had a head coach in Brian Flores who seemed to not believe in him and had it not been for the hire of Mike McDaniel heading into the 2022 season, who knows what kind of player Tua would be up to this point. However, in the past two seasons, the Dolphins have created an offense that is very hard to stop and is led by Tagovailoa. It also helps to have playmakers like Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and a running back duo De’Von Achane and Raheem Mostert.

In the last two years, Tagovailoa has been able to improve his passing yards and touchdown stats. While the Dolphins have managed to turn things around with Tua, they still have trouble having success late in the regular season and going into the playoffs. The game tape shows that while Tua is an accurate quarterback who can place the ball in the right spot for his weapons, it also shows him feeling the pressure and crumbling which affects Miami overall.

The front office for the Dolphins is in a very tough predicament when it comes to the future at quarterback. While Tua has been able to have regular season success, he has not been able to be the quarterback to take the Dolphins deep into the playoffs. While he believes that he deserves a massive contract extension, it appears as if the Dolphins’ front office does not think so according to ESPN NFL Reporter Jeff Darlington.

This statement from Darlington should make Bills fans constantly watch this ongoing situation.

While Tua has been one of the best regular season quarterbacks the last two seasons, he has not had the best luck against the Buffalo Bills hence why Bills fans should hope that Tua and the Dolphins can come to a contract extension.

As a starter in Miami against the Buffalo Bills, Tua has a 1-6 record and has more total turnovers than touchdowns. He has been sacked 12 times, passed for over 300 yards one time and has just two games where he had more touchdowns than turnovers. The Bills have dominated the Dolphins in recent memory, with a big reason being Josh Allen but the rest of it comes from the Buffalo defense.

Bills fans need to keep an eye on this situation because if the Dolphins and Tua come to an agreement on a contract extension for the future, this could mean that the Bills will continue their dominance of the Dolphins for many years to come.
