Bills fans need to get excited about CBS Sports projection for Buffalo in 2024
By Brandon Ray
Throughout this entire offseason, we have seen countless predictions and we will continue to see them all the way through the Super Bowl. Whether it was through free agency, the NFL draft, or preseason, fans and analysts will get their predictions some how and some way. The Buffalo Bills have been involved heavily in predictions because of their offseason moves.
For the last couple of seasons, the Bills have been in the mix for projected Super Bowl winners. There are some doubters who are claiming that the Bills’ Super Bowl window is closed. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
However, because the Bills have Josh Allen under center and still in his prime, the Bills should always get recognition for being in the mix for a Super Bowl. While Buffalo has doubters, not everyone is one and that should excite Bills fans that are optimistic for the 2024 season.
Jared Dubin and the CBS Sports NFL writers made their predictions for division winners, the wild card seedings, and even Super Bowl predictions.
Six NFL writers participated in these projections across the board. With the prediction of the division winners, four out of six writers projected the Bills to win the AFC East. Buffalo was also projected as a top wild card team, meaning that the Bills would not get a home playoff game in the first round.
One writer is a strong believer in the Buffalo Bills
Will Brinson not only has the Bills winning the division for the fifth consecutive season, but also raising the Lombardi Trophy in February. Brinson has the Bills defeating the Los Angeles Rams for their first Super Bowl. The Bills play the Rams in Week 14, so Brinson is indicating that this matchup will be a potential Super Bowl preview. Brinson was not the only who projected the Bills to make the Super Bowl.
Pete Prisco projected the Bills to reach the Super Bowl, but to fall short against the Green Bay Packers. Bills fans wouldn’t be able to handle another Super Bowl loss on their record.
It won’t be an easy journey for the Bills to reach the Super Bowl, let alone win the whole thing. At the same time, anything is possible and the Bills could easily go into 2024 and shock the league by being the best overall team. They may not look like the same team from a year prior, but it doesn’t mean they can’t be dangerous in other ways to rack up the wins.
