The Buffalo Bills are 3-0 and Josh Allen is in the MVP conversation to start the season. Considering how many people wrote the Bills off during the offseason for all of the talent they lost, this is a dream start for Buffalo.
Something that worked against the Bills as the regular season inched closer were injuries. The loss of Matt Milano in the preseason and then later Terrel Bernard during the season has made the Bills linebacker position rather thin.
More Bills news
Dan Graziano of ESPN has a potential trade idea for the Bills to pursue to help their defense out. Graziano listed Eagles linebacker Devin White as a trade candidate and had the Bills as a potential landing spot for the former first-round pick. White has yet to play a game for the Eagles so far this season, missing Week 1 with an injury and then he was a healthy scratch for Weeks 2 and 3.
Bills should trade for Devin White before the deadline
As Graziano notes in his write-up, White would "be an extremely cheap veteran option for a team in need" and the Bills could be that team. It wouldn't cost much to bring White in since the Eagles signed him to a $4 million deal and aren't playing him anyway. Why not trade him to Buffalo?
The Bills have struggled to stay healthy later on in the season so stockpiling as much depth as possible could be the difference between representing the AFC in the Super Bowl and watching the big game from home once again.
Maybe White doesn't go on to do much even if the Bills did bring him in but at least it'd be a move that shows the team is committed to keeping the depth strong and making a run for the AFC crown.
