The Buffalo Bills might have some of their own issues that they are dealing with, but contract drama is not one of them and they should be thankful for that. The San Francisco 49ers have been in the middle of drama with wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk and the Dallas Cowboys are in the middle of some drama with their star wide receiver in CeeDee Lamb. There has been more heat on the Aiyuk situation as it is now almost for sure that he will be playing football outside of San Francisco. However, Lamb’s situation is a little bit more different.

While Aiyuk’s situation is atleast somewhat moving, Jerry Jones is being disrespectful to Lamb by recently saying “he doesn’t have any urgency” to get Lamb a new contract, while the star wideout is holding out. Who knows how this Lamb situation will turn out, but for now, there is going to be potential trade chatter involving Lamb.

Maurice Moton from Bleacher Report created a list of five NFL teams that should revisit a potential trade to acquire the star wideout from the Cowboys. One team in the NFL that is in desperate need for playmakers on the outside resides in the AFC East, and that is the New England Patriots. Moton has the Cowboys getting a haul from the Patriots in this trade scenario.

This Patriots trade would be fantastic for the Bills

The Patriots are in no position to trade away future draft capital. As of now, they do not have any stars on their roster that are game changers. Not to mention, rookie quarterback Drake Maye isn’t even the most promising rookie quarterback in the room. Sure, adding Lamb would give the Patriots a true number one receiver but the roster needs a lot more shaping than just at the wide receiver spot.

While the Bills would have to face Lamb twice a year, the quarterback spot is shaky right now so Lamb would only be as good as Maye/Jacoby Brissett/Joe Milton.

While this scenario is highly unlikely to happen, it would be great to see the Patriots toss a good chunk of their future out the window for one player. Instead, it is more likely that the Patriots will look to see what they have in their young receivers like Javon Baker and Ja’Lynn Polk.
