Do the Buffalo Bills release Tre'Davious White (or move his position)?

Alongside Hyde and Poyer, Tre'Davious White has been a key part of the Bills secondary since being drafted in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. At one time, he was one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL but the past three seasons have been a challenge as he suffered a torn ACL in 2021. He returned midway through last season but didn't look like the same player.

This season, White looked much better but unfortunately suffered a torn Achilles in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins. Based on his contract, the Bills could release White and save over $6 million in cap space but would take a dead cap hit of over $10 million.

Another option though for the Bills would be to consider moving Tre'Davious White to safety. There would certainly be a challenge learning a new position but with the way White can defend the pass, this could help him extend his career while being a key contributor on defense. This is one player that the Buffalo Bills have multiple options and there isn't a clear answer.
