Gabriel Murphy

The UCLA product that is going to be a top 15 pick most likely is Laiatu Latu, which is probably too high for the Bills to move up. Instead, his running mate at UCLA, Gabriel Murphy is an option for the Bills later in the draft.

He doesn't have much size to him as an edge defender, but what he lacks in size, he makes up for with technicality and quick hands that can help him win at the next level. For a prospect like Murphy whose size cannot be altered, but can win with not just speed but also technique and hand usage helps him out abundantly.

That way, there is not as much of an emphasis on a coaching staff and team to wait and develop him, which in turn helps a Bills defensive line that needs to get younger not too far in the future. Murphy definitely fits this need, and again, with Von Miller being on this team, helps a young prospect to reach their potential even faster.
