Stefon Diggs

One of the storylines for most of the 2023 season was whether or not Stefon Diggs was going to get some help and another player would step up. In the game against the Bucs, the Bills saw a number of players do just that with Gabe Davis, Khalil Shakir, and Dalton Kincaid having some of the best games of the season.

However, as is the theme with this article the focus is on the stars and leaders of this team to set the tone in a big matchup like this. That has to be Stefon Diggs as he can take pressure off some of the other wide receivers but also help Allen get into a rhythm early.

The last time the Bills played the Bengals, Stefon Diggs was almost a non-factor. He did get 10 targets but most of them came in the second half and a number were uncatchable as he had only four receptions for 35 yards.

The frustration on the sideline was caught by cameras and was talked about regularly for most of the summer in terms of whether or not Diggs wanted out of Buffalo. However, that has not carried over into this season as Diggs is fourth in the NFL in receiving yards with 748 yards.

As much as this is a statement game for Josh Allen, this is also a statement game for Stefon Diggs and I expect him to be heavily involved on Sunday night.
