Buffalo Bills Career Interceptions Leader (40 interceptions)

Record Holder: Butch Byrd

Butch Byrd played eight seasons with the Buffalo Bills from 1964 to 1971 and was a big part of their defense that helped them win back-to-back AFL championships in 1964 and 1965. He would be a five-time AFL All-Star and have 40 interceptions over those seven seasons with the Bills.

Byrd was very consistent as he had at least five in six of those seven seasons and the only season he didn't reach that mark was his final season in Buffalo but still had four interceptions.

The player currently on the Buffalo Bills closest to Byrd's record is Jordan Poyer who has 22 career interceptions with the Bills. The past two seasons he has had nine interceptions but at this point in his career, it seems unlikely that he has enough years left to catch Byrd.

If there is one player who has a good chance it would be Tre'Davious White, who already has 17 career interceptions and is currently only 28 years old. If White returns to playing at an All-Pro level, quarterbacks may avoid throwing in his direction which could limit his chances but if he averages only three interceptions per season, he could pass Byrd in eight seasons.
