4.) Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks made a great draft pick in the first round by selecting defensive tackle Byron Murphy II out of Texas which should help out the run defense. However, it does not dismiss the fact that Seattle had one of the worst run defenses last season. There were only five games where they did not allow over 100+ rushing yards in a game. They had eight games where they allowed over 150 yards on the ground, including three games over 200 yards. 

The Bills’ run game became more stable last season and if they can continue to pound the rock on a consistent basis, there should be no reason why they can’t run all over the Seahawks. The Bills may have a tough time passing the ball on Seattle as they had only allowed one game of 300+ passing yards against them one time after their Week 5 bye week.

3.) Indianapolis Colts

Despite finishing with a 9-8 record with a backup quarterback last year, the Colts’ defense still gave up nearly 25 points per game. They gave up over 30 points in five games last season and aside from drafting UCLA edge rusher Laiatu Latu in the NFL Draft, the Colts did not make any major upgrades on the defense. When it comes to defending the run, the Colts either gave up less than 100 yards or well over 100 yards. 

Indianapolis could very well be one of those teams that has high upside on offense but could very well be still in the process of building up their defense. The Bills have the chance to redeem themselves against the Colts from the last time they played in 2021, where Indianapolis walked into Buffalo and embarrassed them, 41-15.
