Josh Allen needs to prove he can protect the football
Josh Allen has ranked near the top of the league in terms of total touchdowns over the past three seasons because of the way he can throw it but also his ability to scramble and make plays on the ground. However, Allen has also ranked near the top of the league in turnovers.
This season has been no different as he is second in passing touchdowns (18) but first in interceptions (9). In fact, he has had an interception in each of the past five games.
In the past, this hasn't been as much of an issue because the defense has been awesome and when needed, they usually are able to shut down an offense. The talent just isn't there with players like Tre'Davious White, Matt Milano, and DaQuan Jones out for the season while Christian Benford and Micah Hyde are ruled out for this game.
The safety blanket isn't there anymore for Josh Allen and he needs to protect the ball better moving forward.
