The Buffalo Bills are in a situation where they need a number one receiver, and being at pick 28 in the NFL draft, behind many teams with offensive needs isn't the most ideal. After the Diggs trade, the Bills acquired a 2025 second-round pick that may be used within a trade package to move up in the draft.

Receiver isn't the Bills' only need on the team. They need a secondary player and an edge rusher as well, but with the Bills' offensive trio of receivers being Curtis Samuel, Khalil Shakir, and Mack Hollins, that wouldn't be an ideal lineup to walk into the 2024 season with. There are teams within the top 20, 10, and even top five that all could trade back given the right deal.

New York Giants

The Giants are in desperate need of a receiver within their offense. Daniel Jones is still on his $40 million contract and has never had a true number-one receiver, with Darius Slayton being his main guy through his tenure with the Giants.

However, the Giants' entire roster needs a rebuild, not just the receiver position. The Giants have holes in their offensive line, their cornerbacks, their linebackers, and even quarterback is a question mark. The Giants need more draft capital rather than making the sixth overall selection.

If the Giants receive an offer from the Bills that includes their first and second-rounders, a player like Kaiir Elam, and next year's second-round pick, that offer should at least be given some thought, especially for a draft class that's knee-deep with receivers. If Brandon Beane offers maybe another player or draft pick, there's a good chance the Giants may agree with this offer, and the Bills would be on the clock at number six.
